Helllllo. Wow, two blog posts in one day. This is a goal.
I just wanted to update you all on the process of where I am on writing and editing books that I am hoping to share with all of you.
The Storm Saga
The Hurricane is written, (which you know) and I am hoping to share the summary verrrry soon. And Hope is going to be making the cover very soon as well. I am hoping to start editing it in October.
I have written Felix's Novella, which HAS a title, but I can't share it with you just yet.
The Storm #3 is almost done. I am nearing the end, it's so close. And a plot twist came out of nowhere and I love it lots.
Two Rings series
I am going to release the final book's title in October, and the cover at the same time, because I've had all the covers for a very long time, and you deserve to see them! It is another duel POV, just like My Future (#3) was. The release date will be most likely sooner than The Hurricane, because the Two Rings books aren't as long as the Storm Saga's. More info on that soon.
I am hoping to write maybe a spin off series later in the future if I have the time. I love the OverShadowers and the Undimmed, and I don't want them to just end here with just Pearl's story. There's so much more for you to know!
Other
NaNo Novel '13 is almost all outlined in my head, and I am bursting to write it. But I will wait until November. (A WHOLE MONTH) BUT, that doesn't mean I can't write a novella, or a few about that certain world. I really like the idea of the Throne of Glass series, with all those novella's before Throne of Glass was released. And I want to do that with this one. I will most likely start that after I finish and take a quick break from The Storm #3 and writing it. (my brain needs to come down from it's high. lol)
There's a quick overview, I will start thinking of summary's and release dates for all those who need it, and I will let you know when those are up! :)

I like outlines for essays, not books - A Writing Truth II
Welcome to another writing truth by me, Madison. But first, I want to remind everyone in the Ohio area that I will be at the Granville Historical Society THIS Saturday from 10-4pm EST signing copies of SHADOW FUTURE, THE STORM and THUNDER & LIGHTNING! And I'll be giving away bookmarks! ^.^
People often say, 'I'm outlining my book today!' and I just stare at their post and think...outlining? Hm.
When I tried to outline for NaNo last year, it ended badly. I thought it would help me when I get stuck, and you don't have time during NaNo to be stuck, you need to get your word goal in, and just keep pushing forward. But when I made an amazing outline, and I put it on huge pieces of paper and strung it up on my wall, I noticed something was wrong. Very wrong.
The story was gone from my head.
I don't know about how you write, but when I write a story down, it's gone. Bye bye, au revoir. The story is gone from my head, and it's very hard to write a book when the story is no longer inside your head to be written down.
That story was on my wall in my room hanging up.
I had to make an entire new plot line in my head, yeah, maybe a some similarities, but nothing like I had all figured out before. So when I started writing on November 1st, I had to start from scratch, I had to force my way through the first 3,000 words because the story was no longer in my head.
Don't get me wrong, outlines are great! I love making them for my papers for school, those don't count as stories for me, so it doesn't bother me when my ideas are on the paper and I can just turn back and look at them if I need help. But when it comes to my books, I outline in my head. A little piece here and there comes together sooner or later in my head for that certain story, and sometimes, I have the whole outline ready for me, sometimes I don't, but at least I know that it's in my head and ready to go.
Hope you enjoyed! I'm outlining my paper for school, and I thought that this would be a good writing truth! Do you outline? If so, why? If not, why?
Happy Monday!

I'm not good at writing love triangles: a writing truth
The title says it all. I know the blog could use a lot more bookish and writish posts, but the kpop posts are amazing. *coughs*. But I've decided when I think of some bookish or writish post, I won't just tweet it, I'll expand it as much as I can get it, and put it on the blog. So...here's the first one!
I'm Not Good at Writing Love Triangles: A Writing Truth
Whenever I try to make the MC fall in love, or like each of the boys, or vice versa, it never works. I always prefer one of the other boys over the other, so does the MC. And usually, one of the love interests always turns out to be evil in some way...and one of them is good. And the MC might kiss each of them a number of times for some reason or another, but the good guy always wins in the end, sometimes in the beginning, and having the MC end up with the bad guy would change the plot so dramatically my brain wouldn't be able to cope.
I think another point that I have such a hard time with Love Triangles, is that I've had a few in my life. Me being the top of the triangle. It's very unpleasant, and I think it bothers me to write a triangle when I was part of one. And I'm not good at breaking people's hearts...especially my characters. It makes me sad inside, but I've finally been able to kill people off...which hurts me a whole lot more.
If I ever try to write a love triangle of some sort, there are two different plots in my head. One with the one guy, and another with the other guy. And it's very hard to pick which one, and then I spend months sometimes years after finishing a book wondering what it would have been like if the MC had gone with a different boy at the end. And everything is just awkward in my poor head.
That is why I don't and I'm not good at writing them. So that's why I just make one evil guy, and the other nice, and the girl already in love, or quite possibly being able to fall in love so that my brain never has to hurt every again.
You never know, I might be able to think of a plot that has a good love triangle, and it'll work, and my brain won't die.
I hope you enjoyed this little Writing Truth. Tell me if you like love triangles, if you're good at writing them, etc. I'd love to hear what you have to say! And I might put them in the next Writing Truth post! So everyone can see. ^.^
Happy Thursday!

Pirates have taken over Kpop Thursday!
Ahoy there mateys! It be Talk Like a Pirate Day! And me know a thing or two about pirates. And not just from watchin' Pirates of the Caribbean movies. ;)
Noooow...instead of a kpop video, I've got Pirates of the Caribbean songs...videos and gifs...
First, my POTC things I have at home:
I have just as much POTC stuff as I do Doctor Who stuff...you can see where my fandoms lie.
I also used to write fanfiction...but I deleted it...that was kind of stupid of me really. lol

This is one of my favorite POTC remix videos, and I'm going to share it with you!
I've always liked pirates. I own all four of the movies, I went and saw number four in the theater two times. I liked it that much. And I'm really sad to hear that we have to wait like three years for the fifth movie, just because the Lone Ranger didn't do so well...
I also used to write fanfiction...but I deleted it...that was kind of stupid of me really. lol
I also had a POTC birthday party, and everyone was a certain character, and we had pirate games, and had 'rum' and had gold coins.
So...all in all, I really like pirates, and I wish that I was one. XD
Argh! Have ye a great Talk Like a Pirate Day!
