Transcend Time Title Hunt

Welcome to the Transcend Time Saga Title Hunt! The title hunt is the reveal of the title for the final novel in the Transcend Time Saga. Each of the bloggers participating in the hunt have been given a letter. Hop around to the blogs participating to hunt for the letters. (And remember that two of the letters are used twice, so the title is eight letters long.)

Once you've unscrambled the title, go to Michelle Madow's blog and use the title name to enter the giveaway for a voucher for an advanced e-copy of the final Transcend Time novel! (She is giving away a voucher because the novel is planned to be released at the end of the year, and she hasn't finished writing it yet! This voucher will ensure that you will receive an advance e-copy once they are available).

I still have to read "VENGEANCE", but I'm hoping that I get to hear more about, Lizzy and Drew's love story.

Also, the e-version of Remembrance is on sale for $0.99 until my USA tour ends in April! Make sure you got check it out. :)

Alright...you're probably wondering about the letter, well...here it is!! L

In case you missed it...

In case you missed it....I started writing Shadow Future#2 a couple weeks ago. And I'm really excited for it. (and I'm pretty sure it's because there's lots of kissing in this one. ;))

I will probably reveal sometime in April. (before or after Shadow Future is released.) And the cover probably in the summer or later/before. Once my awesome photographer does them. And I know they'll be awesome, because she is.

You guys are pretty darn cool. :)

Waiting on Wednesday 2/22/12

Helllllo! I thought I would do a WW. So...here it is!!

GRAVITY By Melissa West. October 2012 Entangled Publishing.

Goodreads summary:

In the future, only one rule will matter: Don’t. Ever. Peek.

Seventeen-year-old Ari Alexander just broke that rule and saw the last person she expected hovering above her bed--arrogant Jackson Locke, the most popular boy in her school. She expects instant execution or some kind of freak alien punishment, but instead, Jackson issues a challenge: help him, or everyone on Earth will die.

Ari knows she should report him, but everything about Jackson makes her question what she’s been taught about his kind. And against her instincts, she’s falling for him. But Ari isn’t just any girl, and Jackson wants more than her attention. She’s a military legacy who’s been trained by her father and exposed to war strategies and societal information no one can know--especially an alien spy, like Jackson. Giving Jackson the information he needs will betray her father and her country, but keeping silent will start a war.

Ps: And I HAVE to say, the cover is so BEAUTIFUL! I can't get enough of it...

Teaser Tuesday Twist

Hey everyone! It's Tuesday again, isn't it? Last time it was Tuesday, it was Valentine's Day, so I couldn't do an official teaser.

So....instead of a teaser, (because I'm running out of good ones!!) I thought I would post a song from SHADOW FUTURE every Tuesday instead. So...here's the first one:

I Have Confidence from The Sound of Music the movie. I know, a little different, but it goes with the book, pretty well. :)

Happy Tuesday everyone!! <3

Review: WITHER by Lauren DeStefano

This is the 6th book I've read this year.

At age 16, Rhine Ellery has four years to live. Thanks to a botched effort to create a perfect race, all females live to age 20 and males live to age 21. On the cusp of her 17th birthday, Rhine attempts to flee, but what she finds is a society spiraling out of control.

Christian beliefs: none

Other belief systems: Nothing is mentioned.

Language: hell is used multiple times. It's used in swearing, and also in the sense that they live in a hell. There were a couple more words also.

Violence: lots of sickness, blood everywhere, people getting dissected.

Romance: kissing, sleeping together. (but everyone who gets slept with is married.) and someone does end up getting pregnant.

Any other bad things: they talk about sex a couple of times. And the character that's evil sounded awful.

Comments: I honestly did not enjoy this book, and I was hoping that I would. I didn't like the way that the book was written, I usually love first person, but the way that the first person was written was confusing to me. I didn't like how the author made the 13 year old girl appear like a ten year old. I've been 13 once, and we DON'T act like that. The author made her seem like she was stupid, and had no idea what was happening. At age 13, I knew perfectly well that marriage was for, and the fact that the girls husband was way older than her, it was just horrible to read about it.
The plot would have been awesome, if it wasn't' breaking my heart every second, some parts were good, but the rest of the book just made me angry for me to read.
There also wasn't enough talking, and that's what I enjoy, the description was awesome, but I found myself skipping to it get to the point. I did enjoy the fact that Rhine was doing her best to hold it together, I loved reading about her twin brother. I also loved some of the love plot, I liked that conflict that she was trying not to fall in love with her husband, because she knew she needed to get free. I also loved the man that she does love, or will love. He seems like a guy I would like to hang around with.
All in conclusion, I really wish I would have enjoyed this book a lot more.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars.

Week Updates

Hey everyone!!

There's a lot going on here lately. On the online world, and then the writing world.

We have 3 giveaways going on at once. The Tell Taylor about REMEMBRANCE post. And the Twitter Follower Giveaway, I'm giving away a signed ARC of Shadow Future. And the I <3 YA blog hop giveaway! Where I am giving away a copy of THE IRON KNIGHT by Julie Kagawa. :)

Also, I'm working on 2 books are once. Which equals = :O. I've never done it before, but I found myself getting tired of one book, and needing to write something else. So I'm just switching back and forth, but lucky for me, one of the books doesn't need to be done for a LONG while. The other book is just for fun. :) But I find myself really wanting to write a dystopian or post-apocalyptic novel. I've had an idea for one for a long time, but I keep either getting distracted, or starting it, and I end up getting bored or something.
I've changed the plots a lot, in my head that is, but I think doing one in olden times would be great, but then, that would be a lot of research. (And I'd rather write, than research)...sigh. One day, I'll get this book written. XD
And a random fact about me: I like creating books with worlds in them, that aren't real, so that I don't have to research, and make up the rules. (that's the fun book I'm writing. hehe)

Also, a lot of people have entered to win the ARC of Shadow Future, and I'm really excited about that. It means a lot when someone takes the time to enter a giveaway for MY BOOK. Pearl Underwood also got some tweets about Shadow Future, saying that they can't read the book. Which meant A LOT to me. :)

Which comes to what else I have to say: you won't win the ARC, even if you SAID you did EVERYTHING. I will be checking, and so far, only THREE people have actually tweeted Pearl like they were supposed to. Also, locked Twitter accounts don't show up, so you need to either post your 'tweet' on the Shadow Future trilogy page, Pearl writes there also.

I also changed the blog design, do you guys like it? I think it goes with my book, and with me at the same time. XD

Ahh, there. I feel better now, that I told you all this. lol

Today's library day, so I'm going to go pick up CROSSED by Ally Condie (I've waited MONTHS for this book to come in!), and WITHER by Lauren DeStefano. At first, I wasn't going to read WITHER, but I've changed my mind, and I'm super siked about it.
The only down side is that I don't like the way each book is written, it's in first person, but it's the WAY it's written. But I LOVE the plots. :)

Also, I can't stop listening to this song. I have this thing for Asian singers. They are so talented! <3 ;) Abracadabra by Brown Eyed Girls - lyrics.

Well, that's it! Have a great four-day weekend all your US residents, and have a great weekend all you INT residents. :)

Love you all!!

Review: SWITCHED by Amanda Hocking

This is the 5th book I've read this year.

When Wendy Everly was six-years-old, her mother was convinced she was a monster and tried to kill her. It isn't until eleven years later that Wendy finds out her mother might've been telling the truth. With the help of Finn Holmes, Wendy finds herself in a world she never knew existed - and it's one she's not sure if she wants to be a part of.

Summary from: goodreads.com

Christian beliefs: none.

Other belief systems: This book is about trolls and magic. So...magic. hehe

Language: D--n, bastard, sh-t, p--s, dick. etc.

Violence: People are killed, Wendy's mother tries to kill her with a knife, and cuts her across the belly, and she needs stitches.

Romance: Kissing, and Wendy and a unnamed person cuddle up on a couch, and fall asleep and someone finds them there. Elora and someone else used to sleep with each other. (just they say it, no description what so ever) Wendy invisones Elora and someone else sleeping together. (but not like total description) Lots of mentions of love.

Any other bad things: Finn is mean to Wendy sometimes, Wendy can't really stand her mother and her mother is mean to her.

Comments: I loved this book, and I loved it even more because it was selfpublished. You can kinda tell it's been selfpublished, but that means this is how well Amanda can write. She didn't have fancy editors changing everything so it sounded perfect. I love the plot, I love the love story plot. It just all goes together, and she  ties everything together so that it makes sense. I love how the Vittra are just around the corner, just waiting to attack. (btw, I loved the short story at the end of the book...) I can't wait to get a paper back copy of TORN. :) (btw, I won my paper back copy of SWITCHED from Starry-Eyed Revue.)

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars.

I < 3 YA Blog Hop post

hop

Do you love YA? Becuase I do. I have a giveaway for you guys, and there are also giveaway's you can enter. Just visit the Linky list below!

Giveaway:

Ash, former prince of the Winter Court, gave up everything. His title, his home, even his vow of loyalty. All for a girl… and all for nothing.

Unless he can earn a soul.

To cold, emotionless faery prince Ash, love was a weakness for mortals and fools. His own love had died a horrible death, killing any gentler feelings the Winter prince might have had. Or so he thought.

Then Meghan Chase—a half human, half fey slip of a girl— smashed through his barricades, binding him to her irrevocably with his oath to be her knight. And when all of Faery nearly fell to the Iron fey, she severed their bond to save his life. Meghan is now the Iron Queen, ruler of a realm where no Winter or Summer fey can survive.

With the (unwelcome) company of his archrival, Summer Court prankster Puck, and the infuriating cait sith Grimalkin, Ash begins a journey he is bound to see through to its end— a quest to find a way to honor his solemn vow to stand by Meghan’s side.

To survive in the Iron realm, Ash must have a soul and a mortal body. But the tests he must face to earn these things are impossible. At least, no one has ever passed to tell the tale.

And then Ash learns something that changes everything. A truth that turns reality upside down, challenges his darkest beliefs and shows him that, sometimes, it takes more than courage to make the ultimate sacrifice.

I really enjoyed this book, and it's a great story about doing something difficult for someone you love. <3 and I won it from a giveaway a couple months ago. At Christmas, I got this book as a present, and since I don't need two of them, I am giving it away!:

61 Twitter Follower Giveaway! :)

Hey everyone! I just reached 61 followers on Twitter, so I will be doing a giveaway...

Do you want an SIGNED ARC of Shadow Future? Well, I have one. And you can have it! Just enter below:

 Pearl  Underwood is just a normal OverShadower.
Almost.
She's the only girl OverShadower left, and it makes her role in her world even harder. But Pearl was fine with it, until...
Pearl knew what her future would be, the day she was born. But she didn't know it would be so hard to go through with. She didn't know she would fall in love, she didn't know that her powers would almost disappear, and she didn't know that her future would be with someone who's cruel. And she didn't know that she was more different than she thought she was. But Pearl can't get away from her future, but she still wants to make a stand for herself. Not matter what happens.

So, my friend Hope, took the picture of the cover of this book. So, you have to 'like' her Facebook page to get the rest of the options. She's really cool. :)
You need to do all of these things. I will go and check if you did when I pick a winner. If you didn't complete all of these, you will not win. If you have private Twitter accounts, I will not be able to see the tweets from you.

Review: TORRENT by Lisa T. Bergen

This is the 4th book I've read this year.

When Gabi and Lia finally learn to surf the river of time, they realize they must make hard choices about life and love in the third and final book in the River of Time series.

Gabi and Lia Betarrini have learned to control their time travel, and they return from medieval Italy to save their father from his tragic death in modern times.   But love calls across the centuries, and the girls are determined to return forever—even though they know the Black Plague is advancing across Europe, claiming the lives of one-third of the population. In the suspenseful conclusion of the River of Time series, every decision is about life … and death.

Christian belief systems: Lots of that!!! <3 you can't find good Christain YA book anymore...But this one NAILED it.

Other belief systems: People thinking that the Roman gods are real.

Langue: None.

Violence: It's 1343, in Medieval Italy, during a war. So I would say yes to the violence. It's not to descriptive though, swords to get stuck in places, and people die. But Lisa doesn't describe it, so your stomach churns and you want to throw up. It was just enough description that you got what was going on.

Romance: Kissing, lots of kissing. Forced marriages, willing marriages. Waiting to open the gift of marriage. (that was my favorite part.) True love, love that's going to happen, forbidden kisses, broken hearts. *sighs* it was so good.

Any other bad things: Just people wanting to kill other people, revenge. All that good stuff. ;)

Comments: Ok, here we go. I LOVED THIS BOOK SO MUCH!!! It takes you on a roller coaster, at first you're like: "this is a pretty good book," then: "OH MY GOSH!! I CAN'T STOP READING!" and it just keeps going and going....I almost cried at some parts, it was such a good book. The marriage scene is so sweet! I'm so proud of Lisa for saying that waiting until after marriage to open the gift. <3 my parents tell me all the time, and it's hard to find books that people actually do that.
The only thing I found wrong with it, was all the kissing, my gift of marriage includes kissing too. But that's all. :)
I can't wait for the novella BOURNE! TORRENT ended too early for me...but I guess that keeps readers reading. ;)

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars.

Lookie!

Hey everyone!

I was bored today, and all I have to do in school today is, tests. Lots of tests. (but easy ones) and practice my piano...anyway...

I made a Twitter account for Pearl Underwood. (from my book, you know) look her up! Pearl_SFT (you get a lot of teasers from her all the time.)

Also, I got the 2nd proof of SHADOW FUTURE today, but it's still a little sketchy. I need to fix some things. Ugh. But I'm so close!! Here's a pic of it though:

Also, I finished the short valentine's day story yesterday. I just need to edit. (uck) and it'll be HERE on Feb 14th!

Love you guys!

Review: CASCADE by Lisa T. Bergen

This is the 3rd book I've read this year.

Summary: www.goodreads.com
Mom touched my underdress—a gown made six hundred years before—and her eyes widened as she rubbed the raw silk between thumb and forefinger. She turned and touched Lia’s gown. “Where did you get these clothes?”
Gabi knows she’s left her heart in the fourteenth century and she persuades Lia to help her to return, even though they know doing so will risk their very lives. When they arrive, weeks have passed and all of Siena longs to celebrate the heroines who turned the tide in the battle against Florence—while the Florentines will go to great lengths to see them dead.
But Marcello patiently awaits, and Gabi must decide if she’s willing to leave her family behind for good in order to give her heart to him forever.

Language: None. It' good to read a book like that. :)
Romance: Lots of kissing. I mean, LOTS of kissing. But it wasn't bad kissing, it was REAL love kissing. And talk about marriage, and being without the other is like part of them is somewhere else.
Violence: It's in Medieval Italy, during a war. There's lots of blood and swords in places you can't imagine. (like throats and eyes, and ears) Lisa does a good jog describing it, but not in a way you want to go throw up, just enough that you know someone just got hit or struck.

Any other bad things: Gabi thinks that this one guy might be gay, because he wasn't interested in her at first. And there's always the ongoing argument about if Gabi and Lia should stay, or go back. And Gabi keeps getting hurt, I mean. A LOT. Poor girl. :(
Comments: I LOVED this book. At the beginning, it was just a normal good book, but as I got further into it, I couldn't stop reading it! I love books set back then. It's so cool to read about what life was like back then.  And Lisa does a great job doing it. I can't imagine all the research she had to do. And it's written so well! And Christian. (even better!) I also loved how most of the guys were so nice, and not all...well...guy really. Like, they were really knight's in shining armor. Both figuratively, and literally.
Rating: 5 out of 5 stars.
(Yes, I am moving on to TORRENT now!)

Love Scenes from SHADOW FUTURE part 2

Hey everyone! I know you've been waiting for this all week....so.....are you ready?

“When she stopped, she looked up at me with those big jade eyes and whispered: ‘thank you’.”
“I didn’t know what to say. Those eyes were amazing. And I couldn’t stop staring.

(this scene is being told to Pearl by someone else, in case you were confused.)

Hope you enjoyed it!

Enjoy!!

Waiting on Wednesday (a bit late)

Hey all!! I'm doing a waiting on Wens. (a bit late, sorry!)

The last thing Cammie Morgan remembers is leaving the Gallagher Academy to protect her friends and family from the Circle of Cavan--an ancient terrorist organization that has been hunting her for over a year. But when Cammie wakes up in an alpine convent and discovers months have passed, she must face the fact that her memory is now a black hole. The only traces left of Cammie’s summer vacation are the bruises on her body and the dirt under her nails, and all she wants is to go home.

Once she returns to school, however, Cammie realizes that even the Gallagher Academy now holds more questions than answers. Cammie, her friends, and mysterious spy-guy Zach must face their most difficult challenge yet as they travel to the other side of the world, hoping to piece together the clues that Cammie left behind. It’s a race against time. The Circle is hot on their trail and willing stop at nothing to prevent Cammie from remembering what she did last summer.

Gahh!!!! I finished the 4th book last year, in the summer sometime, and  I was like 'noooo!!!' I can't wait for this book!!

I'm also getting excited about Heist 3. :)

Project Tell Taylor post! < 3

Michelle Madow's debut novel Remembrance was inspired by Taylor Swift's "Love Story" music video. She talked all about it in a blog entry a few months ago, discussing how Remembrance was inspired by Taylor Swift's "Love Story" music video. She even wrote a letter to Taylor Swift and sent it to her, along with a signed book!
It's been a few months now, and she has yet to hear back from Taylor that she received the letter and book. She really wants to tell Taylor about how inspiring she and her music have been to her, but since Taylor Swift is an international superstar, she’s a little hard to reach. This is where YOUR help comes into play! Michelle is giving away the biggest prize pack she's offered yet, and the ways to enter to win are by telling Taylor Swift about Remembrance.

The Goal: Get Taylor Swift to Tweet about Remembrance!

Lizzie Davenport has been reincarnated from Regency Era, England ... but she doesn't know it yet.

Then Drew Carmichael transfers into Lizzie's high school at the beginning of the year, and she feels a connection to him, almost like she knows him. She can't stop thinking about him, but whenever she tries talking with him about the mysteries behind her feelings, he makes it clear that he wants nothing to do with her. Reaching him is even more difficult because she has a boyfriend, Jeremy, who has started to become full of himself after being elected co-captain of the varsity soccer team, and her flirtatious best friend Chelsea starts dating Drew soon after his arrival. So why can't she get him out of her mind?

Even though Lizzie knows she should let go of her fascination with Drew, fighting fate isn't going to be easy.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What inspires me? Good books, true love and country songs. It also inspires me, that selfpublished authors jump in there, and get their book known. And they don't give up. <3 Taylor Swift also inspires me, her songs are amazing, and she WROTE them. And that's just like writing a book, just shorter, but it still takes work.
                                                                             ~~~
Do you want to know about those prizes now?
You want to enter now right? Just scroll down!
Don't forget to TELL TAYLOR! :)
